White Teas

White Pekoe Needles: Fujian, China - Hand-plucked

White tea is a class unto itself. It is neither steamed nor oxidized and comes mainly from the Fujian province. Exotic Tea Room white tea is from a small two-acre garden in a hilly/mountainous region of the North Fujian province. The garden is approximately 3,500 feet above sea level. A delicate light green and white leaf, this tea is picked and produced in late March. Most white teas are very attractive but have no flavor. Not this one. This flashy leaf tea produces a mild sweet cup. 

Bai Mu Dan: China - Hand-plucked

Literally translated as “White Peony”, this tea’s pale orange-yellow liquor pleases the eye while the delicate sweet cup delights the palate.


Green Teas - Japanese Style

The base tea is a China Green "Sencha-style" leaf. The CO2 process is most obvious on this leaf style in that finished product maintains the original leaf appearance and refreshing green cup quality. CO2 is the only process considered natural and is more gentle to the tea leaves and has no toxic residues. 99% caffeine free. 

Emerald Sencha: Shizuoka, Japan

Shizuoka (Tranquil hills) is just Southwest of Tokyo. The immaculate gardens line cliffs along the sea and go up to the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Shizuoka’s premium teas are famous in Japan and almost half of the classic style green teas grown in Japan come from this area. Tea has been cultivated in this region from the Kamakura Period (1185 AD). The result

is centuries of un-ending and accumulated tea growing and processing wisdom and mastery. We believe you will taste millennium of artistry in this tea. Usually steamed and machine-fired, Sencha has a shiny or semi-polished appearance. This very classic Japanese Sencha has the shiny natural leaf with a bright green flavor. 

Sunrise Gyokuro: Uji, Japan

Gyokuro literally translated means Pearl Dew. This tea represents the finest non-ceremonial tea produced in Japan. This tea is grown where the first Japanese tea was planted in the Uji district of Honshu near Kyoto. The tea is picked from old bushes that are shaded to reduce the affects of photosynthesis. Everything connected with tending and making the tea is done by hand. A bright and lovely cup, this tea is a treat at any time. This is Japanese tea at its finest level and offers an outstandingly smooth and lightly sweet cup.
